One of the most effective ways to avoid the spread of COVID-19 is not hosting or attending social gatherings.

Take care of one another

It’s hard to stay connected and physically distanced at the same time. We want Rams to have a good experience at CSU, but the fact is that public health orders are in place from the state and county, and they are in place to protect those who are particularly vulnerable to the virus. And, many college-aged individuals who contract COVID-19 don’t have symptoms, don’t know that they have been exposed, and unintentionally expose others.

Off-Campus Life has resources and advice for students who want to gather responsibly.

One of the most effective ways to avoid the spread of COVID-19 is not hosting or attending social gatherings.  If you do find yourself in a social situation, please be sure to consider whether you can gather responsibly and follow public health guidelines. If you can’t, or if others are not, we encourage you to remove yourself from the situation.

Follow public health requirements

  • Immediately complete the Symptom Reporter if you experience any COVID-19-like symptoms.
  • Always wear a mask in all buildings except when you’re in your own home. This is mandatory. Wear a mask outside if you cannot be more than six feet from others.
  • Physically distance from other individuals at least six feet at all times.
  • Limit all social gatherings to 10 people – on campuses or off. In all gatherings, everyone must wear masks and observe physical distancing requirements.
  • Avoid gatherings – on and off campuses – where there are more than 10 people. In all gatherings, everyone must wear masks and observe physical distancing requirements.
  • Wipe down your individual desktop, work station, meeting tables, seats and other surfaces upon entering the space with disinfectants, which will be provided. Supervisors are expected to allow a few minutes of time throughout the day for frequent disinfecting
  • Follow directional signs when entering and exiting buildings, classrooms and other public spaces if signs are present
  • Stay home if you are sick, believe you have been exposed to COVID-19, or if you test positive for COVID-19.
