Dear Faculty, staff and students,
With changing Centers for Disease Control, Colorado and Larimer County guidance, we know many of you are wondering if university public health guidance will also change this weekend.
At this time, the Pandemic Preparedness Team has no plans to immediately change the guidance we issued earlier this month, which is posted at https://covid.colostate.edu/kb/pandemic-preparedness-team-broad-guidance-for-all-summer-and-fall-2021-activities/. This includes maintaining our current guidance for masks on our campuses. We expect this guidance to remain in place through the end of July, as noted in this document, as we prepare for fall.
The university is a community comprised of multiple campuses, hundreds of buildings, and thousands of individuals – each with concerns and questions about how public health impacts their academics and operations. As expressed when this guidance was issued, the university’s public health directives are subject to change based on the evolving public health landscape; however, as with all things regarding to the pandemic, it takes significant time, planning and preparation for the university to evaluate multiple data points and determine what is best for our own environment, as well as to create processes and support structure to make changes. Our current guidance will remain in place until further notice.
We appreciate your patience as we assess and adjust to the ever-changing public health landscape and work diligently to answer your questions and create a structure for Fall 2021.
