Subject: Larimer County issues emergency public health order
Dear faculty, staff and students,
Today, Larimer County Health Department issued an emergency public health order due to rising numbers of COVID-19 cases within the county. The order goes into effect later tonight.
The emergency order includes:
- Measures to limit recreational and league sports activities
- Limiting personal indoor and outdoor gatherings to no more than 10 people from no more than two households
- A call for businesses to increase remote work options as much as possible
- An order to cease alcohol sales at 11 p.m.
You can read the order in its entirety here – https://www.larimer.org/spotlights/2020/10/23/larimer-county-health-department-issues-emergency-public-health-order-help.
It is critical that we all do our part to follow this order and continue to follow public health guidelines so that the county does not move to a more restrictive level of public health requirements. Right now, the county is currently at Safer at Home Level 1, which allows us to enjoy a less restrictive atmosphere than a Level 2, which would require tighter conditions on offices, businesses, restaurants, houses of worship, gyms, bars and group sports, and even come outdoor activities.
Do your part to take care of each other and our larger Fort Collins, Larimer County and Colorado communities. Let’s finish the last 30 days of our Fall Semester by working together to be intentional in taking great care of our entire community.
